Focusing on member and community needs is part of Decatur County REMC’s mission and our core principles. Our employees take time every year to assist organizations that need an extra hand.
Community Day
An annual event, typically the 2nd Friday in October, where Decatur County REMC joins other cooperatives in the state to complete a project that meets a specific need in our service area. Past work has included walking trail cleanup for the Decatur County Parks Dept, painting at the Decatur County Animal Shelter, and hosting an electronics recycling day with Technology Recyclers.
Community Participation
Throughout the year, Decatur County REMC employees will volunteer their time to assist organizations that need help. Employees have helped at the Bread of Life, assisted local schools, and supported events at the YMCA.
