Geothermal Program:
The Energy savings potential provided by a Geothermal heat pump is reason
enough to investigate its saving value.
Install a Geothermal heat pump to heat and cool your home and Decatur
County REMC will issue a check.
-REMC homeowners will receive $ 1,000 for new home construction, converting
from an existing fossil fuel system or changing out your existing electric
resistant heating system ( i.e, baseboard, ceiling cable, electric
furnace or Air-Air Heat Pump )
Requirements to Qualify for This Program:
- Installation must meet the conditions of
Decatur County REMC's
Incentive Program.
- Must be
installed on Decatur County REMC service lines.
- Must show proof
of sale and complete required forms.
- Must be a total
electric geothermal unit.
- Installation may require verification by REMC
personnel.
Air Source/Dual Fuel Heat Pump:
Air Source heat pumps can mean substantial savings for energy-wise
consumers
Install an air source/dual fuel heat pump system and Decatur County REMC
will issue an incentive. Installation in new construction or replacing
fossil fuel and receive an incentive of:
$ 300.00-15 SEER
$ 350.00-16 SEER
$ 400.00-17 SEER or larger
$ 400.00-GEO/Dual Fuel
Requirements To Qualify For This Program:
- Must be installed on Decatur County REMC
service lines.
- Must have SEER 15 rating or better.
- Must show proof of sale. SEER rating
must be validated and requires
form completed.
- Installation may require verification by REMC
personnel.
Air to Air
program:
Replace straight electric resistance
heating system (baseboard, ceiling cable,
electric furnace). Incentive of:
$800.00- 15 SEER
$900.00- 16 SEER
$1,000.00 – 17 SEER or larger

Refrigerator Roundup:
Have a spare operational
energy hungry refrigerator?
Want to earn an extra
$30 dollars? Call Jaco
Recycling at 877-395-5535, to schedule an
appointment.
Jaco will collect and recycle your
refrigerator and then mail you a
check for
$30 dollars. Limit two to household and subject
to withdrawal at any
notice.
To qualify refrigerator
must be in working condition and must be
between
10 and 30 cubic feet in size (using inside measurements).

Water
Heater Program
Energy Efficient water heaters can mean substantial savings on
your electric bill.
Install a new energy efficient water heater and Decatur County
REMC will participate as follows:
*Build a new home and install a new
electric water heater,
or
change a fossil fuel water heater,
with an energy rating of .90 or greater and receive:
$ 50.00 for "ONE" 50 gallon water heater.
$ 150.00 for "ONE" 80 gallon water heater. |
Requirements to
Qualify for this Program:
-
Must be 50 gallon or larger
- Must have an energy factor rating of
.90 or better.
- Must have dual elements (
max. 5,500 watts .
- Must have temperature and
pressure relief valve installed
- Must be installed on Decatur
County REMC service lines.
- Must show proof of sale and fill out required
paper work.
- Installation may requires verification by
REMC Personnel.
